Zinedine Zidane Is Ready To Trade Asensio For Sadio Mane

Zidane Ready To Trade Asensio For Sadio Mane

Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane are trying to use Liverpool’s interest in Marco Asensio to force the English side to allow Sadio Mane move in the other direction.

Though Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp have been eyeing Asensio for some time, it is only now that Zidane is willing to let him go in exchange for the Senegalese forward.

It is reported that Zidane is willing to do anything to secure a move for Mane.  Real Madrid’s offense sputtered last year after losing Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, which resulted in the Galacticos bringing Zidane back in to try to solve the problem.
Mane has been on the Frenchman’s mind for a long time, and according to Express UK, that is the only way Klopp will get his hands on Asensio.According to Spanish publication El Desmarque, Liverpool would be able to sign Marco Asensio from Los Blancos for €75mllion (£67m) with Sadio Mane going in the other direction.
The report suggests Asensio, who scored one goal and created four assists in La Liga last season, would be Klopp’s ideal choice to strengthen his squad.
A Transfer fee of £67m plus Sadio Mane seems like a very steep asking price for a player who did not really contribute a whole lot in terms of goals and assists last year for the La Liga side.
On the contrary, Mane bagged 26 goals, won the Champions League and the Premier League Golden Boot, making him one of the most worthy players in the world.
His value should at least be upwards of £100m. Liverpool should be the ones taking on cash if they give up the former Southampton winger. But Sadio Mané says that he is very happy at Liverpool.
The Senegalese forward says he hopes to see out the remaining three years on his contract at Anfield. Also today, Salah posed in the new Liverpool kit.
Sadio Mané answered questions concerning his future in an interview with Austrian daily
Salzburger Nachrichten. When quizzed on possible interest from Real Madrid, the Liverpool replied that he has no thoughts of moving away from Merseyside: "I'm very happy in Liverpool and I have another three years left on my contract. As as I say, I'm happy at Anfield but you never know what will happen in the future. I want to win trophies, especially the Champions League".
Mané has more pressing matters on his mind right now, starting with Senegal's World Cup campaign which gets underway next Tuesday against
Poland. "Now's the moment to focus on putting in a good and successful World Cup with Senegal. That is what I am totally focused on. I don't feel any pressure. To be honest, I am very happy to be playing this tournament together with my team. Nor do I see myself as a superstar, just one part of a team which wants to do well at this World Cup", he added.
